Carbonaught

Carbonaught is rebuilding the mineral foundation of agriculture, addressing the reality that Australian soil is ancient and depleted. The company applies enhanced rock weathering, spreading finely crushed local basalt across farmland to restore soil chemistry and permanently remove carbon from the atmosphere.

As the rock weathers, it neutralises soil acidity and releases essential nutrients such as calcium, magnesium and potassium, while locking carbon dioxide into stable mineral form. The result is improved soil health, reduced reliance on synthetic fertilisers and durable carbon removal, delivered through proven science and geochemical measurement rather than complex machinery.

Carbonaught builds this from the ground up with local rock, proven science and the economics to scale, connecting quarries, farmers and carbon buyers in a single system. Farmers gain a higher return per hectare and healthier soil, with permanent carbon removal built in as an advantage rather than a cost.
